Legacy Sunset
The ability to create or duplicate legacy pages has been removed from the software. All pages should be created in the page-builder tools from now on.
You can continue to edit legacy pages in the software until 31st December 2018. However, if you want legacy page URLs to redirect to a new page after 31st December 2018, you will need to put a redirect in place. This can be done easily by changing the status of a legacy page to ‘closed’ and entering a redirect URL to a new page created in page-builder. If you do not have a redirect in place for a legacy page by 31st December, the page will fail, starting on 1st January 2019.
Notable Items
Premium donations - New page type
Offer supporters incentivized gifts based on predefined donation amount ranges. For example, offer a member tshirt for supporters who give a monthly gift of $10/£10.
- Improvements include: ability to generate different receipts based on supporters who have or have not selected the gift
- For supporters who have selected the gift, split receipting is now available.
- A new product management component which allows product creation with options such as: SKU, stock tracking, and additional variants (more options ahead with the ecommerce module scheduled for later this year)
- The new transaction type PTM (Premium Item) represents the incentive gift selected. This transaction type includes SKU, product name, order id, and shipping address details.
- Ability to review and confirm orders that require shipping.
Asset Library Updates
The images and files tool has been overhauled. Improvements include:
- Larger thumbnails on insert screens
- Option on import to automatically optimize images to reduce file size
- Categorize images using tags and albums
- Editing tools which include: crop, resize, touch up and filter
- Ability to attach metadata like author, alt text, and description to an image.
- Display images by grid, list or image wall
GDPR Improvements
- Opt ins and question labels can now be converted to use a rich text editor.
- Render opt in transactions (QCB) in lookup supporters.
- Imported QCB transactions will now display the filename of the source document used during import.
- We now infer the opt in language seen by the supporter on sign up based on the audit trail.
Regulations.gov Integration
We now have the ability for you to set up an Email to Target page that delivers advocacy messages directly to the Regulations.gov website, which is used by many U.S. federal government agencies to collect public comments on proposed new regulations. If you are interested in adding this feature to your account, contact your account representative for more information. You will need to sign a contract amendment that spells out the additional costs involved.
Functional Improvements
- Profiles
- Added Fundraising Recurring Status profile to check for status of recurring gift during a timeframe. For example: find anyone who’s recurring donation became paused during the last 30 days
- Marketing Automation
- Under the Lookup Supporter “transactional history gadget”, marketing automation transactions (MBC) show up for supporters who open, click, convert, etc on emails. Be sure to enable the MBC transaction type on your gadget’s settings.
- API
- Under the Data API Options tab, MBC transaction type has been included. This allows you to include or exclude this transaction type coming out of the export API.
- HPC Value and HPC Currency can now be imported via the Import API using a saved format.
- Finance Imports
- The ability to store tracking values for transactional imports has been added.
- Bulk Receipting
- Peer-to-peer donations are now included in the bulk receipting tool.
- User Interface
- For clarity purposes, the In Memoriam page type icon has been removed, as this can already be done using the donation page type.
- In addition, the Unsubscribe page type has been replaced with the Email Subscription page type.
- For consistency, the bulk delete user interface now follows the same confirmation screen flow as import and export.
Bug Fixes
- Page-Builder
- Questions are no longer listed in the swap list tool
- When the “expire” was used for pages along with a redirect URL it prevented the page from being set to closed. This has been resolved.
- For certain browsers, when using locales, the unsubscribe landing page was not able to load the HTML template. Adjustments have been made to ensure the template loads.
- Marketing Automation
- When automations were launched they still showed as ‘inactive’ until the page was refreshed. This has been improved to show the ‘active’ status immediately.
- Visual Reports
- The ‘retained activists’ graph was not populating with data. This has been corrected.
- Data
- When using external reference fields on the ‘Tweet to Target’ pages, the external reference data was unavailable in the transactional export. This has been fixed.
