To create a new user in Engaging Networks, you first need to login with your subaccount login details. These will have been given to you at account setup and are located in your secure client folder at https://engagingnetworks.egnyte.com/.

To login as your subaccount administrator, go to the normal login form and enter the subaccount username and password.
Once logged in as the subaccount administrator you will now have access to the Account Settings under Hello (username). Here you can Manage Users and Permission Groups, set Content Ownership, check Fax Logs and Manage Tokens. For the purpose of this document we will be focusing on the Manage Users tool. To access the Account Settings, click Hello (username) in the top right, then click Account Settings.
To create a new user click on Users in the left menu. Here, you will see a list of existing users as well as the option to create a new user. You can edit existing users by clicking on the edit icon.
To create a new user click:
You will need to fill in the following information:

Email address |
This will be the user id. Note: Although we require the user ids you create to be in the form of email addresses, they do not necessarily need to be valid addresses, as we won't send emails to them. However, if you want to be able to initiate a password reset without contacting a super admin, it will need to. |
Password |
This should be secure and only shared with the user. |
Display name |
Displayed when the user logs in. |
First name | Users first name |
Last name | Users last name |
Group |
This will be the permission group the user belongs to. Note: permission groups are required for all ‘User’ user types and a group assignment is required before you can save a user. ‘Admin’ and ‘Super Admin’ user types do not require a permission group assignment. |
Once you have filled in the required information click:
All new users, by default, are created as the ‘User’ user type. If you wish to change the user type, simply click on edit and select the user type, and click save user.
User type | Description |
User | Default for all new users. Requires a permission group to access the software. |
Admin | Has access to all modules in your Engaging Networks Dashboard except the Admin module. Permission groups cannot be used for this user type. |
Super Admin | Has access to all modules in your Engaging Networks Dashboard INCLUDING the Admin module. Permission group is not required for this type of user. |
